The ECRI Institute publishes an annual report on the Top 10 Technology Hazards. The institute’s team of scientists, engineers, clinicians and other patient safety analysts nominate key hazards to consider based on insights gained and expertise such as investigating incidents etc. They weigh factors such as severity, frequency, breadth, insidiousness, profile and preventability when producing the final list of hazards.
