Professor Byung-Chul Chang is cardiovascular surgeon and has been an important leader for the development of ubiquitous hospital system at the Severance Hospital. The system was successfully implemented in November 2005. Professor Chang continues his work with information systems as CIO of YUHS and 2008-2010 chairman for the Korean Society of Medical Informatics.

Currently, Dr Paoin serves concurrently as a Professor of Surgery and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Thammasat University in Thailand. He is also Secretary General of the Thai Medical Informatics Association and works on the ICD-10-TM and DRG Development Committee in the Thai Ministry of Public Health. Additionally, Dr Paoin is a council member on the World Health Organisations’ Family of Classification Network, and his interests include standardisation of health information and health information system programming.

As CMIO of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority (HKHA), Dr CHEUNG is responsible for maintaining, improving and expanding HKHA's longitudinal data management system. Since 1994, the Hospital Authority has been developing and deploying clinical applications at its 39 constituent hospitals and clinics. The Clinical Management System (CMS) is now used by over 4000 doctors and 20,000 other clinicians to document and review care. Since 1999, the territory-wide integrated Electronic Patient Record (EPR) has given clinicians a longitudinal view of the data collected through the CMS and its adjunct systems. Dr CHEUNG will contrast the success and challenges of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority's CMS and outline the future of longitudinal data management within the HKHA.

He is a clinician currently appointed as the Consultant Geriatrician and Chief of Integrated Medical Services of Ruttonjee & Tang Shiu Kin Hospitals in Hong Kong. He is also Past President of the Asia Pacific Association for Medical Informatics (APAMI) and currently Chairman of the Hong Kong Society of Medical Informatics.

Philip Davies has been a Deputy Secretary in the Australian Government’s Department of Health & Ageing since August 2002. He brings to the role almost 30 years experience of health care policy and management in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and a number of other countries.
Immediately before taking up his current position he was working as a Senior Health Economist with the World Health Organisation in Geneva. Prior to that he was a Deputy Director-General in New Zealand’s Ministry of Health where he was responsible for sector-wide policy issues.

Dorenfest & Associates, Ltd. from 1976 to 2004, Mr. Dorenfest personally directed the research involved in compiling The Dorenfest Integrated Healthcare Delivery System+ (IHDS+) Database™ and its predecessor The Dorenfest 3000+ Database™ until its sale to HIMSS Analytics in 2004. He recently created, in conjunction with the HIMSS Foundation, The Dorenfest Institute for Health Information Technology Research and Education to provide free data to universities, students, and government agencies around the world.

She has applied her clinical and business management expertise to the successful planning and implementation of eHealth initiatives across Canada and the US for the past fifteen years. Prior to moving to Singapore, Dr Muttitt was the Vice-President, Innovation and Adoption at Canada Health Infoway, the organization providing strategic leadership for EHR implementation in Canada. Dr Muttitt joined Singapore's Ministry of Health Holdings (MoHH) in December, 2007.

He is a clinically trained emergency medical care provider and work for 11 years as a Medical Officer for the Japanese Ministry of Health. After four years of consulting, Dr. Kyotani accepted a role as Executive Vice President at Kanto Rosai Hospital where he currently works performing CIO related functions.
