Dr CHOW is an orthopaedic surgeon by profession. He was appointed Hospital Chief Executive of Queen Elizabeth Hospital in 1992 and Hospital Chief Executive of Queen Mary Hospital in 2001. He was subsequently appointed Cluster Chief Executive of the Hong Kong West Cluster of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority in 2002. He took up the post of Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food in October 2004 and the post of Secretary for Food and Health in July 2007.

Before moving to Hong Kong, Mr Solomon held various senior health management positions in Australia, including: Under-Secretary for health in the Victorian Department of Human Services, Group Chief Executive of Mercy Health and Aged Care Services, consultant to Australian and New Zealand Governments on health policy and planning, Director of Policy and Programs in the Health Department of Victoria, Australia, and Founding Director of the Health Issues Centre.
Mr Solomon was appointed Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority in March, 2006. In his current role, he is responsible for 43 public hospitals with over 53,000 staff

Dr Suleiman served as Director General of Health in Malaysia from 1991 to 2001 where he set up Selayang Hospital, a 900 bed hospital, and Putrajaya Hospital, a 300 bed hospital, both of which went paperless and filmless in 1998 and 1999 respectively.
He was Chairman of the Steering Committee of The Telehealth Flagship application pilot of the Multi Media Super Corridor initiative from 1996 to 2001, and since 2001, he has been the President of the International Medical University, Kuala Lumpur.

Andy M. Wiesenthal, MD, SM is associate executive director for Clinical Information Support for The Permanente Federation. From 1983 until 2000, Andy served as a paediatrician and paediatric infectious disease consultant with the Colorado Permanente Medical Group (CPMG). He also led CPMG’s quality management program and served as associate medical director for Medical Management, with responsibility for quality management, utilization management, regulatory compliance, risk management, credentialing and physician performance, and informatics. His current work is in the arenas of development and deployment of automated medical records, decision support, and other clinical systems for all of Kaiser Permanente.
