Jaslok, one of the most reputed hospitals in Mumbai, will adopt Napier's next generation mobile electronic health records platform that will empower over 1,100 users from the hospital to render faster, more efficient services to its patients.
SINGAPORE (2 MAY 2013) - Napier Healthcare Solutions, a leading healthcare software provider, is pleased to announce that Jaslok Hospital of Mumbai has selected the Napier EHRm (pronounced EHR mobile) management suite of products for its end-to-end hospital management needs.
The fully mobile-enabled solution is Napier's next-generation platform that helps deliver the vision of a Digital Hospital. The Napier EHRm is an open-source based platform; when fully deployed in the course of the next few months, it will be used by over 1,100 users from the hospital.
"Napier has been a strategic partner in our growth and has helped support our needs over the years. The entire Napier EHRm product is accessible on mobile devices, thereby "unlimiting" our options for making use of mobile solutions in every aspect of Jaslok's operations. Combined with a Patient Portal, the mobile solution will help us foster better relationship between the patient and the Doctor, thereby improving the overall quality of care," said Ms. Kanta Masand, Managing Trustee of Jaslok Hospital.
Ms. Viloo Williams, CIO at Jaslok, envisions numerous operational benefits and said, "The open source, web-enabled, tech stack on which the new Napier EHRm platform is built, will provide scalability whilst seamlessly integrating with 3rd party systems. Napier EHRm will lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) due to parameterization, modularity and flexibility in adapting process changes with ease. Napier EHRm will fulfill our need-of-the-hour which is anywhere, anytime accessibility; just what our Doctors, Patients and Management need today!"
"We are confident that Napier EHRm will contribute to redefining mobility in healthcare services delivery and establish a new benchmark. The mobility solution will help hospitals render quality healthcare more easily and in a more transparent and cost-effective manner," opined Karthik Tirupathi, CEO of Napier Healthcare Solutions.
"We are extremely pleased to further strengthen our relationship with Jaslok Hospital that has used our solutions for more than five years," he added. Paper health information presents significant challenges to large hospital environments. Due to the clinical risks that having a predominantly paper health record causes, Mater decided to take action to address the challenges of paper health records, which also resulted in significant increases in efficiency and cost reduction, all pre-dating the commencement of an EMR implementation.
