Originally aimed at identifying and bringing together the top 50 Healthcare IT leaders in Europe, this year Future50 by HIMSS is going international and expanding the reach to include the who’s who in Healthcare IT from Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
This global community will work alongside HIMSS and our partners to overcome current and future systemic health challenges by addressing gaps and needs at the local and regional levels.
We are excited to announce our Future50 2019 Call for Nominations that will remain open until May 21st 2019.
This is a great opportunity to nominate your colleagues, peers and other champions of health for their outstanding work.
The HIMSS Future50 is who we should look to for the future of healthcare today. They influence the potential of digital health to improve healthcare for all of us. The Future50 community will be encouraged to share expertise, collaborate over borders and foster innovation both individually and as a group.
HIMSS will provide the community with a platform to achieve this and with a mechanism to promote the eHealth agenda at an international level. The community members are expected to attend quarterly online meetings as well as occasional dedicated activities within the existing HIMSS framework. Community members receive recognition in HIMSS media and events. They also receive HIMSS Individual Membership for a year, as well as complimentary passes to various HIMSS events year-round.
Government Leader Demographic: Government Officials, Civil Servants Description: This award recognizes leaders within the public and civil service who have made a significant contribution in the development and implementation of healthcare policy, and have helped deliver results and steer change using information and technology within the public health sector. Their work will shape the future of care delivery on a national level.
Healthcare IT Leader Demographic: Hospital/ Service Provider CEOs, CIOs, CMIOs, CNIOs, IT Directors Description: This award recognizes leaders from healthcare provider organisations who are champions of health IT. These leaders have been able to identify and adopt the right digital strategy, and enablers to drive transformational change, leading to better and improved health outcomes for patients.
Clinical Leader Demographic: CMOs, Doctors, Nurses, Allied Health, etc Description: This award celebrates clinical professionals who have had significant contribution in the decision-making process to leverage technology and solutions. These individuals have also made exceptional contributions in the field of clinical work, supported by information and technology tools, which have led to improvements in care delivery and positive outcomes for the patient.
Patient Leader Demographic: Patient Advocates/Champions Description: This award honors individuals who, from being personally involved in the healthcare journey as a patient, have been driven by passion to advocate for meaningful healthcare causes and have contributed significantly to improving care delivery in partnership with healthcare providers and policy makers.
Innovation Leader Demographic: Start-ups, Scientists, Researchers Description: This award celebrates the outstanding achievement of individuals, or organisations, that have developed innovative solutions by harnessing emerging, disruptive and cutting-edge technology to address healthcare pain points
The nomination process will consider individuals at all levels including c-suite, front line professionals, patient advocates, policy makers, entrepreneurs and many more who are at the forefront of leading the e-Health agenda. The nominated individuals must be based in a country within the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
Nominations can be submitted by anyone from healthcare providers, governments, not for profit organisations as well as IT vendors nominating their customers. Individuals can self-nominate or can be nominated by someone who is familiar with the nominee’s professional background. The nomination must include short descriptions (100-200 words) of the nominee's proven excellence in a minimum of three out of the four following areas:
