  • Are more cost effective by reducing operating costs.

Architecture of Health Information System (HIS)
With a workforce of over 650 IT healthcare professionals, the Singapore system supports 30,000 healthcare users with robust and sustainable IT solutions across 9 hospitals and more than 20 specialty centres and polyclinics. This session will share insights of how IT managers in Singapore architect and oversee the systems performance of the institutions' clinical, business and healthcare analytics, and played a key role in four Singapore public hospitals becoming the frst in Asia Pacific to achieve HIMSS Analytics® Asia Pacific EMRAM Stage 6.

Going Beyond HIMSS Analytics® EMR Adoption
The EMR Adoption Model outlines 8 stages (0-7) towards achieving a fully evolved paperless environment that demonstrates improved clinical and financial outcomes. What's next?

Clinical and Business Maturity
The Clinical Business Intelligence maturity model will assess the firm's effectiveness in use of IT applications to support clinical business intelligence as well as analytical pursuits. There are 5 core competency measurements in the HIMSS Analytics C&BI analysis: Data, Enterprise, Leadership, Targets, and Analysts, and a yardstick value from 1-5 will be assigned to each for each core competency. The methodology is holistic, touching on the cultural aspects of the organization as well as the technical, allowing a longitudinal view of the organization's analytics program.

Industry leaders and experts will share best practices in maintaining high standards of quality care and safety for health services through IT. This is to improve the efficiency and quality of care to adapt to the volume and depth of information available.
