The growing trend of ageing population and the inability to cope with the increasing needs due to insufficient resources in hospitals and care-settings pose challenges to the provision of affordable patient care in Singapore. Due to the advancement and ubiquity of infocomm technology, the standards of living and lifestyle of people have taken a whole new dimension. Healthcare providers are under pressure to keep up with this dynamic environment, to innovate medical devices which can address the needs of people in the new age and yet provide cost-effective patient care.
This track organised by the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), in conjunction with HIMSS AsiaPac 2012, brings together an exciting list of speakers from both the public and private sectors, to examine the current trends in health IT, and telehealth deployment in Singapore.
Join us in this special track at the HIMSS Asia Pacific Conference 2012, and at the same time, visit the A*STAR exhibition booth to find out the telehealth innovations developed by A*STAR researchers.
